Geographical and Historical Position

Zlarin Island is located in the very centre of the Adriatic and it is the nearest island to Šibenik, only 6.5 km away from the town. The island is covered in lush vegetation, mostly dense woods of cypress and pine and thick shrubs of rosemary and figs. Zlarin has been inhabited for at least 700 years and it is today connected by ferry to Šibenik, Prvić and Vodice several times per day.
