Geographical and Historical Position
Located just 8 km from Šibenik's centre and 400 m from the mainland and its closest settlement, the coastal village of Brodarica, this smallest of all inhabited Croatian islands (0.36 km2) and the lowest one in the entire Adriatic (1.5 m average elevation) is really a unique place to visit. Krapanj Island, aka "The Island of Sponges", is hourly connected to Brodarica and a 5-minute ride to it is one of the shortest there is.
